The Dreamland Tree by akaimegane The Dreamland Tree by akaimegane
just a weird ideal i had been thinking about for a while,
i used alot of brushes in this piece, and while i would love to give credit to the makers unfortunatly i didnt write a list of where they came from.. so just know... that.. yea..

to be continued.. btw.

I really like both your artistic and narrative style, though i feel maybe the ending was a bit sudden^w^ And i love your use of texture!

Wow, this is really cool. I really like the concept of it all---you came up with the whole thing?
Your art is amazing, too. From the forest animals with electronic parts, and the incredible detail on the leaves and the boy...it's all very whispy and magical looking...also, with the inky darkness contrasting the bright, unnatural blue, it's nice and creepy. :o Really cool. I also love all the manga-like shading near the beginning as well as the sun and the crows.
Although the ending seems kinda anticlimactic/unrelated, it's still pretty cool. I figured they'd give him a heart.
Also, the bubbles around the tree in the 11th (?) panel look a little detached...like they weren't drawn in the same style. Is that just a specific brush/tool that made the bubbles?
Either way, it's all really cool. I really like the way you made his eyes glow like screens, and the profile-view drawing is really good...also, all of the hands! Aaagh! They're so good! The girl from the tree looks a little odd, but I can't put my finger on why that is...maybe her nack is too long? or, the heads are too big in that panel?
Overall, this is really great in concept and in delivery. Your art is very magical. :)

...I like how you say he gives them "life"...that's not what life is, boy! That's A.I.

But I suppose he doesn't know the difference.

omg,.. such a long comment!:O
hahah.. lemme try to answer everything..!

-yes.. the ideal was something that i dreamed about back in november that i happened to write down because i thought it was interesting, so this ideal is completely original to me. if theres anything similar its just a coincidence.

-umm.. the last scene isnt really the ending, this is only part one.. i just didnt want to write part one or TBC, so i put that in the description! <3

-most of the art is in completely different styles, the bubbles compared to the tree is no different, where as the tree i did super quick (because i suck at drawing trees and get frustrated if i spend my time on them,) and the bubbles i already knew how to draw.. so they came out looking better, plus i upped the contrast, which makes them kinda pop.

-amg.. thank you for liking the hands, they are soooo damn hard to draw!!!

- the girl does look weird, i totally agree, i didnt look at it very well before posting.

-as far as the boy giving life to the animals, they're not really ai.. they are just.. kinda infused, but still with blood and such.. just small missing components, and screens, idk.. im retarded!
overall im glad you gave me such a nice comment and everything! please look forward to the second part.. ! <3

You are certainly not retarded! Your a genius! I wish my dreams were this cool, and my art skills were this refined. :p
And yeah, A.I. wasn't quite the right word, sorry. u_u" I had something else in mind, but I can't come up with a word to match it.
